Serving as President of Seva Capital Canada, Sid Dewan is responsible for setting the strategic vision of the company, overseeing debt origination, client advisory, and maintaining day-to-day activities.

Prior to co-founding Seva, Sid was an Associate Director at Royal Bank of Canada where he advised real estate developers and investors on a variety of debt structures - land, development, construction, and term. He has also supported clients on various strategic, M&A, restructuring, and financing mandates in the transportation, manufacturing, and supply chain sectors. Sid has successfully advised on 150+ transactions resulting in over $600 million being allocated through debt and equity capital.

His ability to work seamlessly across different industries and service teams makes him unique. By leveraging sector specific insights, he is able to assist companies navigate through various life stages and business cycles. This results in access to the most cost-effective debt and equity capital available. He also plays a critical role in communicating, executing, and sustaining Seva's priorities, translating them into a comprehensive strategic plan for his clients.

Aside from his professional work, Sid is deeply committed to community engagement. He serves on the Board of Directors for CFA Society Winnipeg and was the Treasurer of Learning Disabilities Association of Manitoba (LDAM). As the Public Awareness Chair of CFA Society Winnipeg, he promotes EDI awareness and thought leadership to the association and its members. As past Treasurer of LDAM, Sid advocated for those affected by learning disabilities and ADHD. However, one of his most impactful roles is as a mentor to students enrolled in the Asper Master of Finance program at the University of Manitoba. His guidance has helped shape the future of many young professionals. Sid also serves on the Organizational Performance Committee for the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre (RMTC) and is the proud recipient of the RBC Global Citizen Award.

Sid graduated from Simon Fraser University's Beedie School of Business with a concentration in Accounting (Honors) and is a CFA Charterholder.
